There has been a drought but the rain has come.....

There is something spectacular that happens when the rain is just starting to fall after a long drought, there is a feeling in the air - an anticipation.

OH man....that smell as water hits dry earth - did you know it has a name?  its called Petrichor a sweet slightly musty smell that is created when the rain hits the plants and dirt and send up a microscopic aerosol made up of the rain, plant oils and bacteria from the dirt called actinomycetes.

Some people have thought me weird because i could smell rain coming and "taste" when lightning storms were coming.   Turns out I am just amazing and what i smell and "taste" is the wind that has carried Nitric Oxide from weather down wind.   This is created when lightning splits oxygen and nitrogen molecules and those pieces combine with each other!

I think I got off track...why are we here?

Oh yes....The drought.....I have been experiencing a total lack of creativity, energy, purpose etc in my life lately!   Recently i have had some concentrated time to think and I realized that this lack of creativity in my life was hurting me.   So here I am!

I am dusting off my creativity blog that was created for a school course and jumping back into the deep end.   So what will you see here?
