Amping up the Creativity!
Okay so I pledged to try and do a creative venture each day this week to try and get myself back in a creative groove so now its update time!
Tuesday - If you are a vancouverite you know doubt know of the insane mess transit was yesterday. If you are not let me describe the scene....the platform at the columbia skytrain is approximatley 15 feet deep maybe? so imagine the entire platform 20 or 30 people deep....keep in mind that one side is a drop to the track!! Our transit was so messed up that when a millenium train came although we are all grown adults I was so forcefully pushed onto the skytrain and then slammed up against a pole and pushed again that I almost lost my shoe and I definetly lost my breath! Someone had slammed into my knee and people where angry and pissed off an making it known!
What does this have to do with Creativity Tara?? I am getting there. A few years ago, I learned an amazing practice for calming the mind and easing body pain. Its is called mindfulness stress reduction and it is amazing! So on the crowded train, while feeling panicy and my knee throbbing I closed my eyes and imagined myself as a rock with the stream going around me as I touch based with what I was feeling and relaxed my muscles. It totally worked and I think my happy comments to the angry people may have only pissed them off, but I finally got off the train in a totally fine mood!
Today - I am enrolled in an online song writing course! Not that I have ever really written a song before but I love music and I have written poetry....so we will see how it goes.
