Guest Post - Getting Creative with Yarn

I would like to introduce you to the beautiful and talented Tanya!!  I know I am highly biased since she is my sister, but its true, she amazes me with her awesomeness and I am sure you will agree

Here's my everyday work in the creative realm.

The mittens are made with a factory-dyed self-striping yarn. The magic of the striping always fascinates me as the work starts developing below my needles. 

Isn't that amazing...the stripes just appear the yarn looked all weird on the ball and
turned into these awesome mitts while I watched her knit them!

The socks there look plain, but they are the loveliest thing I own right now. The wool is soft and the pattern works perfectly.

Tanya was hilarious to watch while she made these socks!   The look on her face while she
was "turning the heel" having no idea how it would actually work was priceless

She really is quite amazing, she made me these beautiful fingerless gloves because I hate cold hands but want to use my tablet on the skytrain!!
